Job summary

101 Southeast Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support IR, OR 28, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular cases. You will assist with diagnostic angiography, sheath insertions, and imaging support, functioning as scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy tech across single and biplane venues.

Responsibilities include operating all equipment, adhering to radiation safety policies, documenting patient information in PACS, and ensuring accurate charges in the IRCoder

Qualifications

• Registered as a Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Minimum of two years imaging experience.
• Graduate of AMA Council on Education program in radiologic technology, or RCIS credential.
• CPR and ACLS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage all patient information with confidentiality.
• Follow Southeast Health Center’s safety and infection prevention guidelines.
• Operate PACS to document patient information and quality of care.
• Use IRCoder to charge the correct patient accounts and services.
• Maintain competency for all exams in the department.
• Maintain stock levels needed to perform daily procedures using IRCoder.

Job Summary

Assists physician in a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures for OR 28, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro-Endovascular cases. Supports adult diagnostic angiography and interventions, provides technical assistance in sheath insertion, groin sealant/stabilization, imaging support during percutaneous biopsies, and works as scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy tech using single and biplane venues. Provides support during minimally invasive guide wire and catheter‑based procedures. Operates all equipment in the IR, OR 28, and neuro‑interventional suites while observing radiation safety rules.

Essential Functions

• Manages all patient information with strict confidentiality to safeguard data from unauthorized use.
• Follows Southeast Health Center’s safety and infection prevention guidelines.
• Handles communications independently to minimize conflict.
• Familiar with hospital‑wide radiation policy and the Alabama Department of Public Health Division of Radiation Control.
• Stays current on the operation of medical devices and related materials.
• Uses the PACS system to document patient information accurately and document quality of care.
• Uses the computer system to charge the correct patient account with appropriate exams and supplies.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all exams in the department, maintaining competency for each exam.
• Evaluates and maintains stock levels needed to perform daily procedures using the IRCoder computer program.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Minimum two (2) years of imaging experience.
• Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology, or credentialed through Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• CPR and ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Education

• Completion of an undergraduate degree.
• Completion of ARRT (VI) certification.

Skills and Abilities

• Basic typing and computer skills; experience operating PCs in a Windows environment.
• Customer‑service oriented.
• Annual completion of competency requirements.
• Call support to the hospital within 30 minutes of notification.

Shift Details

Day shift, Full‑time, FTE.
