TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to scrub and assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, administer contrast and meds, monitor patients, and document findings in Meditech and PACS.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program and certification such as RCIS/RCES or ARRT-R, with BLS and ACLS within specified windows, plus 1 year of Cath Lab/EP Lab experience and on-call availability.

Competenze

• Graduate from accredited Radiology Technology program
• RCIS or RCES or ARRT-R from CCI/ARRT
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of start date
• Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, and neuro preferred
• One year of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience preferred
• On-call return radius of 30 minutes

Job Summary and Qualifications

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech’s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings.

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing and sterile field setup.
• Administer contrast media and medications according to age- and weight-specific guidelines and within regulatory scope.
• Start and maintain IV access; monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any abnormalities.
• Prepare patients by reviewing their medical history, positioning them, and prepping procedure sites.
• Operate and maintain imaging and lab equipment; report malfunctions and follow lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.
• Accurately document procedures in Meditech and verify imaging in PACS.
• Interpret and report test results, recognizing and correcting artifacts or recording errors.
• Handle and dispose of radioactive waste in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduate from accredited Radiology Technology program
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from CCI.
• OR Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, and neuro preferred
• One year of experience in Cath Lab or EP Lab preferred
• On-call return radius of 30 minutes
