Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a radiology professional to scrub and assist in diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures, operate imaging equipment, and maintain sterile setup in the Interventional Suite.

Candidates should hold an Illinois RT license with ARRT and IEMA certifications, CPR and ACLS within 6 months, and have radiology experience; availability for 8–10 days of on-call per month is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RT license, ARRT and IEMA certifications required.
• CPR required. ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Previous radiology experience required.
• Previously Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, or Neuro-Radiology strongly preferred.
• Must be able to take 8-10 days of call for emergent procedures per month.
• Must be able to arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes of being notified.

Responsibilities

Summary:
A clinically competent professional who works collaboratively with RNs and physicians in the cardiology and radiology angiography suites to provide radiologic assistance for procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures.
• Operates angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging.
• Responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures.
• Competent to scrub procedures 1 to 2 of the following specialties: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, or Interventional Neuro-Radiology.
• Competency is determined by the successful completion of department orientation and contingent on team leader and management approval.
