Job summary

Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom seeks a highly qualified Special Procedures Technologist to support the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will prepare rooms, operate fluoroscopy, angiography and other imaging equipment, administer contrast when needed, and assist physicians during complex interventions with careful patient education and safety oversight.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years combined education and experience in radiology.
• Active California Medical Radiographer license.
• Active Fluoroscopy Certificate.
• BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ARRT Radiography (RTR) registration.
• Current CA CRT and Fluoroscopy RTTF licenses.
• Competency in general radiology plus one specialty (Angiography, MRI, CT or Mammography).

Responsibilities

• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Perform general and specialized radiographic procedures meeting quality standards.
• Recognize and respond to allergic reactions or life-threatening patient conditions.
• Interact courteously with patients, visitors and the public.
• Provide empathetic care to agitated or distressed patients.
• May participate in call coverage for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
