Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Special Procedures/X-ray Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will operate assigned scanners to produce diagnostic images and support physicians in evaluation and treatment.

The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with DailyPay available and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must be ARRT eligible/registered and hold CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must be able to perform DTI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Screen patients before exam using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for DTI imaging procedures, including patient positioning.
  • Perform routine and advanced DTI imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust scan parameters and use dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Follow physician orders, maintain RIS records and safety compliance.
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment and uphold accreditation standards.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $51.25 based on direct and relevant experience.


RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Special Procedures/X-ray Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.


This is a Full-Time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging


  • Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure

  • Explain and prepare patients for DTI imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the correct parts of the body can be appropriately imaged

  • Perform routine and advanced DTI imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scans, while at the same time providing patient support by talking to them throughout procedure

  • Adjust DTI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate

  • Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)

  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and other team members.

  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements


(5%) Department Support


  • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual

  • Assist with applicable software upgrades

  • Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary

  • Assist with the training new team members, acting as a resource and providing technical expertise, as applicable


(5%) Completes Other Duties and Projects as Assigned

Required:



  • High School diploma, or equivalent

  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing

  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform DTI procedures independently

  • Certification in imaging specialty, if applicable


Preferred:


  • Two (2) years' experience as a radiologic technologist

  • Bilingual
