Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with ARRT registration.

SECTION I:

BASIC FUNCTION:

  • Perform specialized diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, including CT.
  • Utilize independent judgment and specialized knowledge of tomography systems.
  • Conduct procedures such as CT biopsies, vascular interventions, and drain placements.

SECTION II:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registration and New York State license required.
  • Contrast injection certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Interventional Radiology experience required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Vascular Interventions certification required upon hire.

SECTION IV:

  • 3-4+ years of Special Procedure Tech I experience.
  • 1+ years of on-call team experience.
  • Knowledge of vascular interventions.
  • Perform tasks during vascular procedures and collaborate with RNs.
  • Oversee daily operations and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to off-hour needs.
  • Work collaboratively with technologists and department leadership.
  • Conduct diagnostic/interventional fluoroscopic and bedside procedures.
  • Operate radiographic imaging equipment proficiently.
  • Adhere to infection control standards.
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast media under supervision.
  • Screen patients for labs and diagnostic imaging.
  • Track studies, complete paperwork, and monitor PACS.
  • Collaborate on inventory control and vendor relations.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and procedure charge optimization.
  • Support general Interventional Radiology duties.
  • Assist in the Operating Room with image-guided procedures.
  • Document requisitions and prep patients for exams.
  • Participate in daily huddles and obtain patient histories.
  • Educate patients about procedures.
  • Utilize lead shielding for safety.
  • Rotate shifts as needed.
  • Maintain attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Salary Range: $29.44-$44.16 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
