Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Populations Specialist to support compliance, curriculum, and instruction for students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with regional teams to implement IEPs and 504 plans across campuses, ensuring fidelity to legal requirements and instructional best practices.

You will coach teachers and staff, analyze MTSS and ARD data, and help build a culture of equity and accountability to improve outcomes for students with disabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience teaching with a focus on special education services.
• Knowledge of MTSS, 504, and IDEA regulations.
• Experience analyzing student data to inform instructional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coaching school-based special education managers and staff across MTSS, 504, and Special Education.
• Analyze MTSS, 504, and ARD compliance data to inform support.
• Engage stakeholders—teachers, parents, and administrators—to support student success.
• Co-facilitate professional development on instructional strategies, compliance, and best practices for special populations.
• Ensure IEPs, 504 plans, and related documentation comply with federal/state regulations and participate in relevant meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Special Populations.
