Job summary

The Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System is seeking a Correctional Treatment Specialist (Special Population Program Coordinator) at a federal correctional facility. The role focuses on providing targeted clinical psychological services to inmates, including group and individual counseling, with emphasis on special population needs and reentry planning in coordination with probation offices.

As with all correctional staff, incumbent shares responsibility for maintaining institutional security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive clinical psychological services to inmates who are members of a special population.
• Provides group and individual counseling to inmates who are members of a targeted special population.
• Assist in community/reentry planning to address special population needs and coordinate with probation offices as needed.
• Maintain security responsibilities as part of correctional institution staff.
