Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation is seeking a skilled shop technician to read part prints, perform basic trigonometry, and help fixtures for machining. The role requires independent work, accurate math, and the ability to interpret manufacturing documents.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience; CNC operation training and Trax machine experience are preferred. Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to read part prints and perform basic trigonometry functions of triangles and normal machine shop calculations.
• Create fixtures to hold parts while machining

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Math skills is a must
• Critical thinking
• Must be able to interpret documents such as manufacturing prints and work order packets.
• Ability to complete forms as required by work center.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
