Job summary

Special Operations Parachute Rigger position for a U.S. Navy NSW environment, located at VA Beach, VA. Requires SECRET clearance and formal SOPR training. Tasks include maintenance, inspections, repacks, and authorized repairs on a range of military parachute systems.

Applicants must have a minimum of three years’ NSW/EOD SOPR maintenance experience and hold FAA Senior or Master Parachute Rigger certificates, with related Army Quartermaster training. Certification proofs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ NSW/EOD SOPR maintenance experience.
• FT. Lee SOPR Course completion required.
• Graduate of U.S. Army Quartermaster Rigger School (certificate).
• Current FAA Senior or Master Parachute Rigger certificate (certificate).
• SECRET security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on military parachute systems (freefall, static line, cargo).
• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of MT-2XX, MT-3, MT-4, and related parachute systems.
• Inspect and repack MT-2XX, MT-3, MT-4 parachute systems per manuals.
• Inspect and repack MC-6, T-11Rs, G-12, G-14, and 15-foot extraction parachutes per manuals.
• Inspect and repack Non-Tactical parachute systems per manuals.
• Perform authorized repairs on military parachute systems per NSW Navy procedures.

Position Title: Special Operations Parachute Rigger

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on military freefall, static line, and cargo parachute systems in Naval Special Warfare (MT-2XX, MT-3, MT-4,


• NON-Tactical Parachute Systems, MC-6, T-11Rs, G-12, G-14, 15’ extraction parachutes)


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of MT-2XX parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of MC-6 parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of T-11 reserve parachutes, in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of G-12 cargo parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of 15-foot extraction parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of Non-Tactical parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of MT-3 parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform technical rigger inspections and repacks of MT-4 parachute systems in accordance with applicable manuals.


• Perform authorized repairs on military freefall, static line, and cargo parachute systems in Naval Special Warfare (MT-2XX, MT-3, MT-4, NON-Tactical Parachute Systems, MC-6, T-11Rs, G-12, G-14, 15’ extraction parachutes).

• FT. Lee Special Operations Parachute Rigger (SOPR) Course (provide certificate).


• Graduate of U.S. Army Quartermaster Rigger School (provide certificate).


• Current FAA Senior or Master Parachute Rigger (provide certificate).


• SECRET security clearance.
