Job summary

Medical Transport Systems seeks a dependable Bus Aide/Student Monitor to help students board, ride, and exit the bus safely. You will support seating and restraints and coordinate with school staff to keep the trip secure.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, daytime (6:00 AM–5:00 PM). Pay is $16.00 per hour with weekly direct deposit. A high school diploma and required background checks are necessary; retirees are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and required certifications per school districts.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Aides sit in back of vehicle with students and assist boarding/alighting.
• Load and unload students as required.
• Be knowledgeable about students' needs and maintain safety.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and caregivers.
• Install and secure students in safety restraints.
• Follow designated routes and schedules for timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and report maintenance issues.
• Address child safety and behavioral concerns while the vehicle is in motion.
