Job summary

City of St is seeking a Paraprofessional AU- Jefferson Intermediate for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports teachers, assists with classroom materials, and helps implement lessons for students with varying needs.

Minimum $16.23 per hour; 7-hour school day with district benefits. Preference for experience with special needs children and completion of Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training.

Qualifications

• Experience with special needs children preferred.
• Completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Conducts learning games with students according to established procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment for students, conducive to learning.
• Assists teacher with student needs; may include feeding, lifting, suctioning, toileting, and other learning activities.
• Assists in other physical ways as identified by the IEP.
• Provides individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills taught by the teacher.
• Ability to implement lessons based on district and school objectives and the needs of students assigned.
• Attends district workshops as directed.
