Job summary

Springboro Community City Schools seeks an Educational Assistant at Dennis Elementary to support students with special needs, helping them access the district's program and benefit academically and emotionally. The position reports to the building principal.

• Valid Ohio driver's license

• Ability to perform heavy lifting

Responsibilities

• Assists students in completing academic assignments and self-help tasks toward IEP goals.
• Works with small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Accompanies student(s) on class field trips or community experiences.
• Serves as a resource person to the evaluation team conferring about assigned students.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Assists the student(s) to whom assigned in daily tasks requiring physical effort.
• Demonstrates positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Ohio Educational Aide Certificate (or eligible)

Valid Ohio driver's license
