Job summary

Kyrene School District is seeking a Resource Assistant to provide classroom assistance and instruction for students with special needs, supporting the implementation of individualized plans.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, confidentiality, and a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. 20 hours per week across 194 days per school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year experience with children with special needs or in a school.
• Experience supervising children preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of student, school, teacher, and parent information.
• Willingness to participate in training sessions as directed.
• IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom assistance/instruction for children with special needs.
• Implement behavior plans for students.
• Attend team meetings to problem solve.
• Collect data on interventions.
• Create and implement support for students with disabilities.
