Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP) to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hendersonville, NC. You will provide compassionate in-home care, build meaningful relationships, and support clients in daily activities to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, additional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Engage clients in hobbies and activities to support community integration.
• Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation.
• Support clients in transportation to appointments and activities.
• Assist with lifting and repositioning clients as needed.

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP) to join the team in Hendersonville, NC. BAYADA’s Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential.

We’re urgently hiring Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) for the following area: Hendersonville, Horse Shoe, and the surrounding areas!

Shifts available: Morning, Afternoon, and Weekend Shifts Available

*shifts subject to change based on client needs

How You’ll Make an Impact as a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP):

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
• Help lift and reposition clients.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Earn between $16-20/hr with weekly pay
• Flexible scheduling
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities near your home)
