Job summary

Salem Engineering Group in Bakersfield, California, is seeking a field inspection and laboratory testing professional to support construction materials and special inspection projects across field sites and lab facilities.

You will conduct field sampling, perform tests with specialized instruments, verify conformance to plans and standards, prepare daily reports and data sheets, and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of construction materials testing experience.
• Experience with ACI Field Grade I, Nuclear Gauge soils testing, and Hot Mix Asphalt lab testing.
• Keep required certifications current.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• English speaking, reading and writing required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.
