Job summary

Davis-Ulmer is seeking a Special Hazards Technician to join our Woburn, MA team. You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair special hazards fire protection systems to ensure reliable operation for personnel and property. You’ll document findings and coordinate with clients while following safety codes and standards.

The role requires technical and mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and willingness to travel to job sites. Mass.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Massachusetts competency certificate required for pre-engineered/engineered systems and extinguishers.
• NICET certification in Special Hazards Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair special hazards fire protection systems.
• Perform periodic tests and document findings with compliance to codes.
• Diagnose malfunctions, replace components, and restore system operation.
• Respond to emergency service calls and support site safety.
• Read blueprints/diagrams and interact with clients to explain system functionality.
