Job summary

Golden 1 Center is seeking a part-time Event Production Intern for the Sacramento Kings season. You will assist in planning, organizing, and executing events both in-arena and off-site, reporting to the Sr. Event Production Manager.

Responsibilities include supporting event prep, production, and breakdown, managing vendor records, and assisting with special projects and RFPs. Flexible hours, paid sick leave, and merchandise discounts are included.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work flexible hours

Title: Event Production InternDepartment: EventsReports To: Sr. Event Production ManagerFLSA Status: Part-Time, Non- ExemptProgram Period: October – End of 2026-27 Sacramento Kings SeasonJob Summary: The Special Events Intern is responsible for assisting in the organization, execution, and production elements of Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center-related events, both in-arena and at off-site locations as directed by the Sr. Event Production Manager.Key Responsibility Areas:Work with Kings event team to assist with the organization of events and support event managers with event prep, production, and breakdownAdministrative lead on finance PO’s, inventory, cataloging, storing of all event equipment and team assetsProvide support with special projects, vendor research and RFP submittalsAssist in the maintenance of all appropriate records and relationships with vendorsBe accountable for on time deliverables of expected projects and eventsPerforms all other related duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications:An interest in gaining professional experience in special event planning/management in a stadium, arena, hotel, convention center or public assembly facility setting.Can do attitude; ability to be on-time consistently and meet strict deadlinesExcellent computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Willingness and ability to pitch in (in any capacity) to ensure event success as well as success of the companyExcellent time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.Capable of working flexible hours such as nights and weekends as needed.To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 monthsAble to commute to the downtown Sacramento officeAble to work 25 hours per weekInterns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
