Job summary

Aneth Community School, part of the Bureau of Indian Education, seeks a Transitional Teacher (Special Education) to serve as a classroom teacher in a BIE school near the Reservation. This position operates under a SCHOOL YEAR CONTRACT per Public Law 95-561 and will require annual contract renewal.

This role is not suitable for telework or remote consideration under any circumstances and requires on-site presence and active engagement with students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited education institution.
• Enrollment in a State alternative teaching licensure program within 90 days of start date.
• State endorsement/subject field in the appropriate area (e.g. elementary, mathematics, special education).
• DODEA certification can reciprocity licensure with States and not required to enroll unless State requires it.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a classroom teacher in a BIE school on or near the Reservation.
• Work under a SCHOOL YEAR CONTRACT per Public Law 95-561 with annual renewal.
