Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification required by NYS as TA Level I/II/III or Special Education teacher certification.
• Experience working with special education students with a wide range of needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional tasks and management.
• Support individual or small groups on instructional projects.
• Provide information about students to inform learning experiences.
• Assist in data collection and progress monitoring of IEP goals.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and using resources.
• If needed, assume instructional duties in the absence of the teacher.
