Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide in-person services to elementary students in a school setting in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current or eligible Virginia teaching license with an appropriate Special Education – General Curriculum K-12 endorsement or other credential acceptable to the Virginia Department of Education.
• Strong classroom management, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education support to elementary students accessing the general education curriculum.
• Support students with disabilities primarily within the general education classroom setting.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students’ identified needs.
• Work with students in the special education classroom as needed to address specific IEP goals.
• Implement students’ IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students’ participation and progress in the general curriculum.
• Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student learning needs.
• Monitor and document student progress toward established IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP-related meetings and collaborate with school staff and other members of the student support team.
