Job summary

Okaloosa County School District is seeking a dedicated teacher to work with students who have significant intellectual, physical and/or behavioral disabilities at Richbourg School in Choctaw Beach, FL. This full-time, 10-month position offers a 7.5-hour day and an ESE-focused environment.

Certification is required in Elementary K-6 with one of several areas (Emotionally Handicapped, Exceptional Student Education, Mentally Handicapped, Specific Learning Disabilities or Varying Exceptionalities).

Qualifications

• Certification in Elementary K-6 required.
• Endorsement in Emotionally Handicapped, ESE, Mentally Handicapped, Specific Learning Disabilities or Varying Exceptionalities preferred.
• Experience with students with significant disabilities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Teach students with significant intellectual, physical and/or behavioral disabilities.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual support needs.
• Maintain regular communication with families and school team.
