Job summary

Grand Forks Public Schools is seeking a certified special education professional to program for students with emotional disturbances and implement individualized plans. You will collaborate with teams, de-escalate behaviors, and coordinate with wraparound services to support social, emotional, and academic needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and ND Special Education licensure eligibility, with preferred credentials and RTI experience.

Qualifications

• One or more of the following: Valid North Dakota Special Education teaching license or eligibility.
• Experience with or training in PRO-Act program.
• Familiarity with RTI (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support).
• Ability to manage compliance paperwork related to special education.

Responsibilities

• Program effectively for students with emotional disturbances to ensure least restrictive environment.
• Maintain effective written and verbal communication with teams and families.
• Complete compliance paperwork for special education.
• Create and implement thorough lesson plans; assess student progress.
• Collaborate with teams, supervise para-educators, and participate in wraparound services.
