Job summary

Onward Edu is seeking an Elementary Special Education resource specialist for an on-site assignment in Colorado. The role involves delivering targeted instruction in a pull-out setting, supporting students during designated service times, and coordinating with general education staff to maximize classroom participation.

The position requires a CDE license (or active pursuit) and a copy of the license or COOL documentation with the resume.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of classroom experience.
• Active Colorado Department of Education license or in process.
• Ability to provide copy of CDE license or COOL documentation with resume.
• Experience supporting students who receive specialized instruction part of the day in a resource model.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted special education instruction in a resource/pull-out setting aligned to student support needs.
• Provide small-group and 1:1 support focused on reinforcing priority skill areas during designated service times.
• Coordinate with general education staff to support student participation in the classroom for the remainder of the day.
• Monitor student performance during interventions and adjust instruction to strengthen areas of difficulty.
• Collaborate as a flexible, team-oriented partner to support classroom and campus needs.

• Schedule: Full time (37.5 hours per week; 35 hours paid and 2.5 unpaid lunches)
• Grade Levels: Elementary
• Location: On-Site
• School Year: 2026/2027
