Job summary

Dragonfly Cares is seeking a credentialed Special Education Teacher to provide individualized in-home instruction to children with autism and developmental disabilities in the New York area. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and is conducted onsite in home settings, with pay at $55–$65 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Special Education, Education, or related field.
• Valid New York State Certified Special Education Teacher certification (SWD).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in data collection, progress monitoring, and IEP goal implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in home-based settings and as part of a collaborative team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

• Maintain accurate, detailed records including session notes, progress reports, and intervention logs.
• Stay current with advancements in special education, ABA research, and evidence-based practices.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The hourly rate range for this role would be $55-65/hr based on experience in the field.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Experience delivering Parent Counseling and Training (PCT) sessions

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or BCBA coursework
• Familiarity with ABA-based therapy platforms and electronic data collection tools
• Fluency in additional languages beyond English and Spanish
