Job summary

The Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative seeks a Teacher of Record to provide direct or indirect services to students under IEP/ISP, collaborating with district staff to support instructional goals.

The TOR will participate in case conferences, monitor progress, maintain confidentiality, guide paraprofessionals, and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations, reporting to district and building administrators. This is a full-time, on-site position serving students in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current Indiana licensure in special education.
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct or indirect services per IEP/ISP.
• Participates in case conferences to set measurable goals.
• Monitors IEP progress and reports to parents.
• Ensures confidentiality of student records and IEPs.
• Informs staff of responsibilities for implementing IEP/Service Plans.
• Coordinates supports and services per IEP/Service Plan.
• Collaborates with diagnostic staff for reevaluation timelines.
• Directs and evaluates paraprofessionals involved with special education.
