Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher Mod/Severe in the Greater Sacramento region, CA. You will provide specialized instruction to students with diverse needs and collaborate with district staff to implement IEPs and support classroom instruction.

The role includes coordinating with paraprofessionals and service providers, promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes, and supporting assistive technology usage in classrooms.

Qualifications

• State-specific Department of Education certification or eligibility (or substitute teaching permit for substitute roles)
• Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as required by the state

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP goals through small group and individualized instruction
• Support general education curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Assist with classroom behavior management using PBIS strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and support IEP compliance
• Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Support students with assistive technology and communication tools as needed

Pay Range: $60,000-$88,000 / Salary

60,000-$90,000 / Salary | Potential Placement Bonus $10k | Full-Time & Substitute Opportunities | Fair Oaks, CA

About the Role:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within local school districts throughout the Greater Sacramento region. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with district staff to implement IEPs, support classroom instruction, and promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes.

We are also welcoming qualified substitute teachers who are interested in flexible opportunities to support special education classrooms on an as-needed basis. Whether full-time or substitute, this role offers meaningful, student-centered work in a collaborative school environment.
