Job summary

Mtwp is seeking a Special Education Teacher to individualize instruction for diverse learners and assume a robust case-management role. You will plan standards-based lessons, deliver differentiated instruction, use varied assessments to inform practice, and continually reflect on teaching effectiveness.

This position requires PA Special Education certification (PK-12, PK-8 or N-12). You will write IEPs, progress-monitor, and maintain regular communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education PK-12, PK-8 or N-12.
• Ability to write IEPs and progress monitor.
• Communicate with parents and staff regularly.

Job description

The teacher is responsible for individualizing instruction to meet the needs of various learners as a case manager. This individual must demonstrate competency in child development and educational best practices. The teacher must be an instructional leader who is student-centered, able to create and foster a conducive learning environment for students, plan Standards-based lessons, deliver differentiated instruction, utilize various assessment practices to inform instruction and engage in continual reflection of teacher effectiveness. This teacher will be required to write individualized education plans, progress monitor, and communicate with parents and staff on a regular basis.

Location: Position will be split between Schaeffer and Brecht

Qualifications:Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education PK-12, Special Education PK-8 or Special Education N-12
