Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Georgia seeks a contract Special Education Teacher to support inclusion classrooms for early elementary students during the 2024-2027 school years. The full-time role serves approximately 8-10 students from PreK through 2nd grade, primarily 1st and 2nd graders with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Active GaPSC Teaching license with P-12 Special Education endorsement.
• Dyslexia endorsement required.
• Experience in an elementary school, preferably in inclusion settings.
• Comfort working with students experiencing autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and speech/language delays.
• Commitment to positive behavior supports and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to meet IEP goals and academic objectives.
• Work closely with general education teachers to ensure a seamless inclusion experience.
• Provide supervision for toileting needs (one student, with a toileting goal), ensuring dignity and independence.
• Adapt lessons and classroom strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
• Track student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings.
