Responsibilities include providing instruction aligned to IEP goals, developing and maintaining IEPs, differentiating instruction, collaborating with staff, and supporting behavioral and social-emotional needs. Competitive pay and full-time schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Connecticut certification #165 for Comprehensive Special Education (K-12).
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs (school-based preferred).
• Knowledge of IEP development, timelines, and documentation best practices.
• Strong classroom management and ability to implement evidence-based interventions.
• Strong collaboration and communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction aligned to IEP goals and grade-level standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs with progress monitoring and documentation.
• Differentiate instruction and modify materials for student access and growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school teams to support inclusion.
• Support behavior, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs with proactive strategies.
• Communicate with families and participate in IEP/team meetings as needed.
