Job summary

The Juneau School District seeks a dedicated educator to join our districtwide special education team, supporting Pre-K-12 students across schools. This position emphasizes inclusive practices and strong behavioral supports within a collaborative team.

Requires Alaska teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement and a Bachelor's in education. Preference for advanced degrees and experience with diverse caseloads and whole-district improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires Alaska teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience managing diverse caseloads across multiple settings.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and interventions.
• Ability to design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and students.
• Knowledge of IDEA and Alaska special education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload on a special education team.
• Contribute to a dynamic districtwide program to support Pre-K-12 students.
