Responsibilities

• Writes benchmark and goal-aligned IEPs for students
• Conducts IEP reviews to amend schedules or accommodations, and to add/revise FBA and behavior plans per regulations
• Familiarizes with Mississippi IDEA regulations and adheres to them
• Participates in IEP reviews with SPED teachers in adjacent grades and plans smooth transitions for next year
• Teaches and supervises activities in special education and inclusion settings
• Provides IEP goals and accommodation sheets to all teachers who teach the students
• Completes paperwork by deadlines from principal or Student Support Office
• Records student progress on IEPs and sends updates to parents at least quarterly
• Confers with regular education teachers about Special Education students
• Follows regulations set forth in regular education teachers' job descriptions
