Job summary

Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services for 2nd grade charter school students. This position runs for the remainder of the current school year, with a schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and a classroom size of about 13 students.

The role focuses on specially designed instruction in ELA and Math, with occasional push-in support for science and social studies.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ DOE TOSD or TOH certification.
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-dated clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Implement specially designed instruction to drive student achievement.
• Conduct progress monitoring data and adjust instruction based on data.
• Establish a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom.
• Provide support to students, parents, and general education staff and support student learning.
• Mentor and coach students on self-regulation and development.
• Develop effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings.

$45-$55 per hour

Special Education Teacher Position Details:

• Resource room
• Mostly ELA and Math (some push in support for science and social studies)
• Hours are 7:30-4:00pm daily
• Classroom is approximately 13 students

Special Education Teacher Qualification(s):
