Job summary

Therapy Source, Inc. is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services for K-8 charter school students in North Carolina.

The position runs for the remainder of the current school year, with school hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must hold North Carolina school certification, have up-to-date clearances, and provide professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Certification to teach in North Carolina is required.
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them.
• Proof of professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Implement specially designed instruction to drive student achievement.
• Conduct progress monitoring and adjust instruction based on data.
• Establish a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom.
• Provide support to students, parents and general education staff.
• Mentor students on self-regulation and organizational skills.
• Develop effective IEPs translating into measurable results.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
