Job summary

YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, 10-month role. You will support students with identified needs, adapt curriculum, and serve as a mentor to 4-5 students within a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes restorative approaches, equity, and post-secondary readiness, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Current PA teaching certificate in Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Write special education documents, conduct IEP meetings, monitor student progress for the assigned caseload.
• Create and maintain Special Education student files, digitally and in hard copy.
• Revise IEP goals and objectives throughout the year to maximize student achievement.
• Collaborate with academic and workforce-development teachers to deliver specialized instruction.
