RSU 64 is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Teacher, at Central Community Elementary School in Corinth, Maine. RSU 64 serves students in the five towns of Bradford, Corinth, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Stetson, Maine. The Special Education teaching position will include a mix of resource room and self contained programming. This position will begin in the 2026-2027 school year. The successful applicant will hold a current Maine DOE certification #282 and demonstrate evidence of a current CHRC. Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior successful experience teaching Special Education students at the elementary level;
• Demonstrated ability to use technology with state reporting formats;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues;
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with identified students and their parents;
• a strong content knowledge in, reading, writing, and mathematics; and
• a strong skillset of behavior management.
