Position Overview

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support for students in an Autistic Support classroom.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and learning activities aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning needs.
• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and academic and behavioral growth.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to support student progress and ensure consistent educational strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement
• Special education teaching experience preferred, particularly working with students with autism or in an Autistic Support classroom
