Job summary

LEARN Behavioral's Learn Academy in Redwood City, CA is hiring a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe) to join our team in Redwood City. The Learn Academy is a state-certified private day school serving children with autism spectrum disorders and related needs.

You will develop and implement IEPs, coordinate with OT, SLP, BCBA, and supervisors, and help students achieve academic and personal growth in a supportive classroom of up to 12 students.

Qualifications

• Valid California Special Education Credential or enrolled in a certification program.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred or intern student in Special Education.
• Autism-specific certification preferred or paired with another credential.
• Experience with students with autism recommended; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student IEPs and individualized curriculum.
• Implement instructional activities to engage students in meaningful learning.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with OT, SLP, BCBA, and supervisors.
• Support safety measures and Professional Crisis Management procedures.
