Job summary

Amergis is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Youngstown, OH to support kindergarten through 12th grade students. The role requires collaboration with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement individual programs.

You will provide direct instruction, tutorials, and consult on accommodations, with emphasis on compliance, certifications, and ongoing teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Meets all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs, including special instruction and tutorials.
• Consult with general education staff to support student learning.
