We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team in Ludlow, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they reach their fullest academic and social potential.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, specialists, and school administrators.
Provide direct instruction and classroom support tailored to students’ needs and learning styles.
Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to accommodate various disabilities.
Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive classroom environments.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations (IDEA, Section 504, etc.).
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field.
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in Special Education required (Moderate or Severe Disabilities).
Strong understanding of IEP development, behavioral strategies, and differentiated instruction.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Experience working with students with a range of disabilities preferred
