Job summary

Seabright is partnering with a school district to hire a contract Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in San Jose, CA. The full-time on-site role is 37.50 hours per week with a local contract pay range of $58.77–$67.26 per hour.

We offer a $2,000 Completion Bonus and up to $3,000 in referral bonuses, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K matching, CEU/license reimbursements and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or practicum)
• Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in state of practice
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Teach Special Education students across assigned grade levels (elementary to middle school)
• Collaborate with school district staff and support teams to meet individualized education program goals

QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications for Special Education Teacher:

• 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
