Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Round Rock, TX for a contract-full-time role supporting K-12 students. The teacher will collaborate with staff to plan and implement individualized programs, provide instructional services, and consult with general education teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred/required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred; Standard Elementary/Secondary/Special Teaching certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students in the K–12 range.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction and tutorial assistance.
• Consult with general education staff to support inclusion and student program goals.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has acommitment to team participation in planning and implementation of studentprograms including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultationwith general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
