Onward Education is partnering with a Dakota County school district in Minnesota to hire dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site role supports elementary and middle school students (Grades K-8) in center-based classrooms, implementing individualized instruction and targeted supports.

You'll collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, social workers, and general education teachers to help students access the curriculum, meet IEP

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required (Tier 3 or 4).
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education; master's preferred.
• Experience implementing IEPs for students with diverse learning needs.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction and support within elementary and middle school center-based special education classrooms serving students with social communication, emotional regulation, and self-regulation needs.
• Teach academic content while supporting students' social-emotional growth.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.

This is an on-site opportunity supporting elementary and middle school special education (Grades K-8) within specialized programs and classrooms.

As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide highly individualized instruction and targeted support for students with disabilities, helping them access the curriculum, build critical skills, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within self-contained classroom settings.

Position Details

• Location: On-site
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• School Year: 2026-2027

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support within elementary and middle school center-based special education classrooms serving students with social communication, emotional regulation, and self-regulation needs.

• Knowledge of Minnesota special education procedures, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience supporting students with behavioral, social-emotional, or academic challenges preferred.
