Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Exceptional Education Teacher in Henderson, TN to support students for the 2026-2027 school year. You will develop IEPs and provide individualized instruction in a collaborative, therapist-run team.

The role requires TN certification for Special Education, a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, and strong classroom management and collaboration skills. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with W-2 employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• TN certification for Special Education Teaching with Interventionist or Comprehensive Endorsement.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation.
