Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Glendale, AZ, serving K-12 students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. You will plan and implement individualized programs, collaborate with general education staff, and provide instruction, tutorials, and consult with teams.

The role requires a teaching certificate and at least one year of teaching experience, with compliance to all applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
