Job summary

Oakland International Academy in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve academic success. You will plan and deliver instruction aligned with Michigan standards and students' IEPs, and foster a safe, inclusive classroom.

You will participate in IEP meetings, monitor progress, and collaborate with families, teachers, and service providers to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsements: SA, SB, SC, SE, SK, SL, SM, SP, or SV.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.
