Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. The role emphasizes team-based planning and implementation of individual education programs, plus collaboration with general education staff.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and a valid state teaching certificate; an LBS1 endorsement and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Minimum Requirements
