Job summary

Job Description/Role Responsibilities

• Case management of 12-15 students for all SPED Teacher openings
• Coordinate with social workers to provide services (classes broken down by grade level)
• Students typically in GenEd classrooms; run lesson plans and curriculum
• Have 2 paras in that classroom
• Teach 6 of 8 periods (1 period for planning, 1 for collaboration)
• 8-9 students served total across all grades in middle school (46 minute periods)
• Plan and collaborate sessions up to 10 students
• All students will read for success (Wilson reading program)
• 1 period dedicated to reading skills; individual support for executive functioning skills
• High school: take larger groups of students (15 roughly, cut in half for smaller groups)
• Run block schedule (one block teaching, one block planning); still teaching 6 of 8 periods
• Preps max 2-3

• Bachelor's Degree
• Special Education Teaching License (supplemental teaching licenses not required)
