Special Education Teacher – North 4th (N4th) Campus

Full‑time Special Education Teacher, or a general education teacher willing to expand qualifications into special education, is needed for the North 4th high school campus.

Gordon Bernell’s high school program provides opportunities for students ages 16–21 to complete high school and make plans toward their next steps post‑graduation. Our credit recovery program is grounded in a comprehensive advisory model that individualizes learning plans for every student to meet their academic needs and takes into consideration barriers that often make more traditional programs inaccessible.

Ideal Candidate
  • Recognize that flexibility and teamwork are essential to implementing individualized interventions and targeted support for chronically underserved populations.
  • Be organized enough to track each learner’s progress, building skills, earning credits, and moving toward graduation.
  • Be interested in collaborating with the SPED team to prepare, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with ILPs.
  • Have the desire to engage with students to overcome complex challenges and find success in education.
Qualifications
  • Current PED Secondary Teaching License or the ability to obtain one with school support.
  • Current Special Education license or willingness to obtain one with school support.
  • Current background check required.
