Job summary

Nimble seeks a dedicated assistant to provide instructional and supervisory support for students with special needs under the Building Principal. You will deliver individualized and small-group help while maintaining a safe, respectful, and confidential environment.

This hourly, non-exempt role is scheduled for 180 days with standard hours of 5.8 per day (29 hours per week). Compensation is based on a Classified Pay Model and requires collaboration with certified staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructional plans and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and tutor students with special needs in classroom and school settings.
• Provide individualized and small-group instructional support to students requiring additional assistance.
• Assist in implementing instructional strategies as directed by certified staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect students’ rights to privacy at all times.
• Participate in staff development, training sessions, and professional learning opportunities.
• Support a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
